Music Appreciation & Listening: Grades 1-12
The class will explore different musical
concepts: genres, artists, styles and careers through the study of various instruments and their capacity within those concepts.
This class will focus on one or more instruments per week, listening to various types of music played by those instruments. Basic music theory will be introduced or reviewed within the context of that instrument or style. When possible, we will provide instruments for a hands-on experience. No mandatory homework.
